It’s almost December!

Snap1

Yes, it’s nearly December and I just took inventory of my Christmas treasury and it’s, well – sort of barren. By this time of year, I’m often nearly done shopping but this year I am a bit behind schedule. I’m not concerned because I am armed with an Amazon prime membership and now…..

THE CHRISTMAS QUESTIONNAIRES ARE ALL IN!

So I am fully armed for the War of Christmas.  I mean the puzzle of the presents. I know that as soon as I start shopping I will get that ‘ol shopping mojo back and then UPS will start bringing packages every day.

I’ll even know they’re coming up the driveway now because I got my new driveway alarm installed. Yes, this is my FIFTH driveway alarm in 3 years. They just don’t make driveway alarms like they used to. This driveway alarm is an upgrade to a powerful model that can broadcast the alarm from 4 miles away. Since my driveway is only 600 feet, I think I may have that distance covered. The other difference in this alarm is that it doesn’t transmit to a receiver that sounds an alarm, it sounds a verbal warning. Whenever someone enters the driveway out at the road and passes by the buried magnetic probe, a speaker on the MURS receiver unit says (in English)

ALARM SOUND ONE!

ALARM SOUND ONE!

ALARM SOUND ONE!

It’s very dramatic yet a bit cryptic at the same time.
